Hi, would like to show you some of my new impressions of different timeframes after orig. items from Slovenia. There are impressions of the Hallstatt D2, D3 (the end); late Lt, late-Lt&early Agustan timeframe) and Noric-Pannonian timeframe with replicas of Roman pots from the gravefield of my metal items, Novo mesto, Slovenia.
The Roman pots are from that Roman cemetery of my metal items, timeframe paralell to them. Some of that items were directly in the graves of my metal items and - it is my first Roman impression it all

I have a question on this period. I have made two La Tene knives and am now thinking of how these would have been suspended from the belt. You seen to have fixtures at the back of the sheath, with a belt running through. Is there any data from gravefinds available on how these would be worn?

thank you all!
First i thought, that you mean a position of the kniwes&daggers from my timeframe-impressions. The graves of this timeframe were all i know, burials, so the orig. position we can't reconstruct in my impression's timeframe (Lt D1 + D2).
There should be 2 graves of that timeframe of the cemetery of my reconstructed-grvave's items, but for that i don't know, if any orig. archaeologist's drowing were made in 19th cent, in the time when they researched them, because that ppl made only individuall drowings of the items and after they exported them to Vienna and Ljubljana (Slovenia).
The knives's position of other Lt-timeframe's graves (scelet graves, not a burials) are in the way of my knive's position, on the belt; but sometimes the knives+s position is individual in other positions in the graves, near the head, or near the legs .... that were only the gifts for the "journey" after the death.

No data in this timeframe and area. I suggest it was made from organic material - because the kniwes/daggers were long, my item is 42 cm long and it is needed to have the "protection" because of personal safety. But no evidence, i said. Will link you foto later of my dagger after my reco.grave, but it is an Scordiscian's import from the Danube area (specific only on that burial and there are one items from the river Ljubljanica as well).
