Show here your Roman soldier impression - Römische Schmiede - 08-29-2013 My new roman Saddle Show here your Roman soldier impression - 66kbm - 08-30-2013 Hi all One of me and Byron discussing a Dacian Falx., made by Robert I think,..........and one of me about to.....................well kill basically. Show here your Roman soldier impression - Tormenta - 09-03-2013 Fresh one from Legio I Italica http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d_SafW_ixJo&feature=youtu.be Show here your Roman soldier impression - Doc - 09-12-2013 Very nice impression Byron. Cheers Show here your Roman soldier impression - Flavivs Aetivs - 09-30-2013 Lots of Italian Festival Photos here: http://www.free-times.com/gallery/italian-festival-sept.-28-2013 On the left edge of one of them you can see my Intercisa-I Helmet. Show here your Roman soldier impression - Hatzi - 10-02-2013 its still all under construction but so far so good: dont go to harsh on me  Show here your Roman soldier impression - Flavivs Aetivs - 10-02-2013 Looks Good! what kind of helmet is that? Show here your Roman soldier impression - Hatzi - 10-02-2013 imperial gallic C Show here your Roman soldier impression - Flavivs Aetivs - 10-02-2013 Ah, yeah the Sisak Helmet. The one in the painting you showed was a Theilenholfen Helmet (Armamentaria has an exclusive deal selling them). Cool stuff. Show here your Roman soldier impression - Hatzi - 10-02-2013 yeah the paintig was just the general direction i wanted to go the goal of this project is for me to reenact an auxiliary infatryman of the 9.batavian cohort this unit in particular because it was redeployed ner me in passau (castra batavis) after their time in vindolanda the pictures are not quite showing the actual state of things, i did some additional painting on the shield, reworked the hilt of my gladius, and i am going to get some decent feminalia (the pants on the photos are original for my birka viking reenactment ) Show here your Roman soldier impression - Martinx4 - 10-07-2013 A few pictures of me and my group based in Oslo, Norway Me posing last weekend. Eight of us at an event in Germany last summer. Foam sword larp, thus the silly shields. At a combat event a few years ago. I think it was about 15 degrees below zero, thus modern pants and mittens along with the proper gear. Show here your Roman soldier impression - Virilis - 10-07-2013 Very nice, Martin! I have been thinking about mittens & other winter gear. Btw, the scutums have a very vivid colouring ! Show here your Roman soldier impression - Paul Elliott - 10-07-2013 The shields remind me of a painting in John Warry's book: Warfare in the Classical World. Show here your Roman soldier impression - Martinx4 - 10-07-2013 The shields are built more for combat than historical accuracy, so we have taken a few shortcuts. They are plywood covered in linen, with rawhide edgings, so they won't notch blades so much, and the paint is regualr oil paint for house walls and such. Also, most of the helmets on display are bodged together from old army helmets, and as such quite far from historical. Pretty damned solid though!
