Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Lvcivs Commodvs Cicero - 04-28-2008 I wish I could drive to Italia for events. All looking good. Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Decius - 04-28-2008 very good impressions... Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Tim Edwards - 05-02-2008 This is myself in full armour for the parade through Rome[/img] Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Tim Edwards - 05-02-2008 And off duty at Archeon Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Doc - 05-03-2008 Tim, Nice impression. I like your helmet. What helmet are you wearing. Do you have closer pictures of it. Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Tim Edwards - 05-03-2008 Of course... Its the so-called Imperial Gallic D from Mainz, made for me by Theo Andela and Simon Empt. I'm not sure where the carpet came from, but I can assure you it cost less than the helmet  The splendiferous crest was made by none other than Peroni, aka Adrian the Batavian. Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Paulus Claudius Damianus - 05-03-2008 Hello Lvcivs Commodvs Cicero and Theo. Nice picture. I like the Theo's tunic design. Have you picture of our complete armatura? Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Gaius Julius Caesar - 05-03-2008 That is a nice crest for sure,, was there another guy with a similar crest and 2 eagle feathers as well!! Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Doc - 05-03-2008 Tim, Very nice helmet. Marcus and I - Neuraleanus - 05-03-2008 Amicus meus Marcus et ego at a recent route march that we did here in Fort Wayne: Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Gaius Julius Caesar - 05-03-2008 Nice kit guys, who did you scutum cover and harness? Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Neuraleanus - 05-03-2008 Quote:Nice kit guys, who did you scutum cover and harness?I made both. The harness proved to be a bit of a problem as I had one of the straps on backwards. I fixed it on the following day so we shouldn't any problems next time. The scutum cover is goatskin. Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Gaius Julius Caesar - 05-03-2008 Good work! 8) Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Lvcivs Commodvs Cicero - 05-03-2008 Quote:Hello Lvcivs Commodvs Cicero and Theo. Paulus I'm not sure what an armatura is. Right now I have two complete woolen tunica and one red longsleeved one that needs clavi et orbiculi. I plan on getting another linen one in white as well. Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Paulus Claudius Damianus - 05-03-2008 Yes; Armatura, Latin word to military equipment. Levis armatura to the light infantry men an gavis armatura or armati to talk about the heavy infantry men. My question is have you an heavy military equipment? Mail, squamata ect... See you! |
