Lamellar armor - Damianus Albus - 07-11-2016

Quick question.

Does anyone know anything about this piece of lamellar armor? Dimensions of scales? Dating?
It belongs to Budapest museum.

Although a lot of people will classify this as locking scale (I classify it as Lamellar but I use a different classification system), yes this is similar to the 3rd Century example from Carnuntum. If I recall correctly... they are very small for lames. Only about 8-12mm wide.

I already have found out that these scales are 29x6mm.

They were also found with much bigger scales 38x9mm.

Well... Let's call it quasi-lamellar Wink
