Etruscan helmet? - Flavius Stilicho - 09-01-2016 Dear members of Roman army talk. The photo I’ve posted here shows the sculpted picture of a helmet that can be seen on Augustus’ arch, in Rimini (Italy), built in 14 a. C. I’m quite sure I saw similar samples of this kind of helms in an Etruscan context, maybe in a fresco, but I don’t remember where. Could you help me and point out where, in your opinion, I could find other sculpted or painted pictures of this kind of helm? Thank you in advance. Carlo. |
