Armor from Spain and Portugal - Doc - 09-22-2017 Ave, Again, while reading D'amato's book of the Western provinces, he has an illustration...plate E... of a centurion. He claims that the helmet is from Conimbriga (Portugal). Supposedly, he claims that the helmet brow band he copied for his illustration bases on the original has a brow band filled with niello. Also claims that the greaves from the same illustration come from Merida Spain and that it is a rare find. Does anyone know anything about these? Vale |
