best deepeeka pugios as of 2023 - Mycerinus - 10-30-2023 I'm not sure if this forum is mostly dead, but I was reading some of the old threads on deepeeka redesigns and trying to figure out which are well regarded or not, by summing up all of the inaccuracies. Does this sound correct? I put them in order of 'correctness.' PlainĀ AH3264P The standard, as correct as they make. Some minor issues like blade shape, ridge size, but overall dimensions and construction is correct Exeter AH3264X Decent, though gutters may be a little thick, and plates are possibly welded on instead of just attached with the ring pins. Otherwise good. Titelburg AH3264T Brass sheath is probably not historically accurate? Leeuwen AH3264A Scabbard shape is off, blade too thick; ring brackets are wrong. Brass Beaded AH3264B The older, less accurate attempt at a Leeuen. Embossed beadwork is wrong, it should be affixed. Embossed AH3264E Totally wrong. Likely an inlaid scabbard misunderstood to be made from affixed plates. Shame, it's pretty! |
