Question about specific gallic helm type - Folkert van Wijk - 08-25-2006 I was wandering if anybody here could tell me more about this type of helmets? I belief you call it Weisenau, but what else is there to say about them? You can also take a closer look here: [url:2s3swd64]http://www.romancoins.info/MilitaryEquipment-Helmet-weisenau.html#Weisenau To me they look somehowe connected to this Gallic Helmet They very much intrigue me possibly because of there Celtic Barbaric appearance. But are they?? Re: Question about specific gallic helm type - FAVENTIANVS - 08-25-2006 Who made your helmet Folkert? Re: Question about specific gallic helm type - Folkert van Wijk - 08-25-2006 Hi Faventianvs My Helmet comes from stahlhelm It's his Gallic Port helm. [url:140bnke6]http://www.stahlhelm.orcon.net.nz/ I only let him alter his normal product quit a lot. I send him a picture of his helmet upon which I drew new shapes and other changes. After all he did a very fine job on it, I am quit pleased with it! Folkert Re: Question about specific gallic helm type - FAVENTIANVS - 08-26-2006 beautiful one! Re: Question about specific gallic helm type - LUCIUS ALFENUS AVITIANUS - 08-26-2006 I think that helmets shows the evidence of a high degree of variability of the roman gallic type helmets. Logicall, if we think there were handcraft pieces. Re: Question about specific gallic helm type - Folkert van Wijk - 08-26-2006 Quote:beautiful one!
