How authentic is the lorica segmentata sold by Deepeeka? Is it acceptable with most reenactment groups?
I plan to buy a set of lorica segmentata and want to get the most authentic available. Thanks in advance.

It's not that simple. Better check with the group you plan to join. That's the only one that has much influence over what you buy, mostly.

I think it's safe to say that Deepeeka's lorica is the most accurate one that you can by "off the shelf", though it isn't flawless. The biggest problem is that it comes in only one size (as far as I know), so it might not fit you very well. Re-sizing a lorica is slightly harder than building a new one!
Albion Armorers was also offering an Indian-made lorica which was pretty good, and came in several sizes, but I'm not sure it they have it any more or just don't have it in stock or what. Give them a call and you'll get an answer, though.
If you want a GOOD lorica, definitely make your own or get it custom-made. Been here?

Good luck!

Concur with everyone above.
FYI -- Albion is no longer offering their lorica at all.
