Emperor Maxentius insignia found in Rome
#1
Avete Omnes,

Newsbot already caught this story but here's another article.

Emperor Maxentius insignia found in Rome

Both articles lack pictures. Isn't that infuriating ?! You know you can save writing two or three paragraphs by just adding some freakin' photos !

Anyway, here are some photos

What a fantastic late Roman find ! Big Grin

Anyone hear about this earlier ? The discovery is a year old but it's only now officially revealed.

Theo,
That find has been already discussed here...

It\'s all an accident, an accident of hands. Mine, others, all without mind, from one extreme to another, but neither works nor will ever.

So, I'm the last to know  Thanks for digging up the old thread, Aitor.

Hmm...although it seems we are still waiting for pictures of the scepters.

Quote:The scepters and all other equipment found (probably IV century AD) is under restoration and it will be displayed in one of the national museums in Rome.

It's been six months. How long does it take to "restore" an archeological find ?

Oh, well, the mods may as well delete this redundant thread. We have enough of those here already

Vale.
