Hi all! May 5-6 will see the first Roman Event in Augsburg. It will be held in cooperation with the Roman Museum in Augsburg, right behind the Museum. The event is organised by students from Augsburg University, and hosts the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Historisches Handwerk, The Populares Vindelicenses, and LEGIO XIII GEM, among others. Admission is free. :-)
Yes, I heard something about this a little while ago, It's a little drive for me but still can make it a day trip from northern bavaria. I may bring my Labrador dog as well do you know?
I hope the festival will be a success so it will be again next year or the year after. I hope that you could announce it then much more way in advance in order to plan a trip to Augsburg.
There are some excellent photographs there, Christian, but I can't open your second post with the attachments on

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, Merlot in one hand, Cigar in the other; body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO, what a ride!
Put me down for the next one then as I am only a half hour from Augsburg.....maybe 45 mins if I drive legally, which might be a good idea with a car full of weapons!
