Yes, video says they left "all" the weapons "on" the ground.
Well, as there were quite a number of bolt-heads maybe it would be more accurate to say they left them "in" the ground.

I don't understand german , but the speaker seems to speak about Varo's legions and Theotoburg.
Are there some links between this new discovery and Theotoburg battle?

Cinna,
from another forum, the "famous" Friebe-Forum, I heared that it was announced for 11.30 with bus-transfer to the location afterwards.

Here we go...
- three-bladed arrow-heads, probably of syrian origin
- a very nice swan-headed "wagenkastenaufhängung"
- different types of javelins
- lots of bolt-heads
- sestertius of commodus (genius with cornucopia offering out of pathera)
- part of a "messerfutteral" of a dagger
- key
- dolabra(e?)
- axe
- shovel
- hipposandal (with carvings on it)
- sandal-nails
- ...

Excellent pictures.
My exact thoughts Peronis.
What is that large round Item on the square base?
Also, I wonder if that spike wit hthe ring was used to tether a horse to a tree?

not sure if we mean the same one but on 3sat they said it was part of some cart. The other is what you call "Hering" in German: a tent peg

The swan headed "wagenkastenaufhängung" ring fitting looks like a terret ring of sorts perhaps for the guidance of reins.
