Mongol: a movie about the youth of Djengis Khan. Beautiful landscapes, good story. It looked authentic to me, but I am not a specialist.

HBO's Rome was excellent in the first season, but the second season was strained because they were informed in mid-season that they would not be renewed. They had to scramble to wrap it up in a (sort of) satisfying ending, and as a result far too much story was crammed into a few episodes.

We had another long talk about it over in Reviews. And $20 for it is a bargain, so much so that it's likely illegal. It's about $100/season here.

Thinking about seeing it this weekend. Is it funny? Thought about watching Dark Knight but need something upbeat!

I you liked the first one you should just go. Actually i thought Hellboy II funnier, better and visually more amazing than the first one.

A drunk Hellboy and Abe shouldn't be missed either...

And there are some other surprises

I'll never forget we had seen it in the cinema, left, and were whistling the Love Boat Theme. Ah, all those annoyed faces - we loved it. It felt nearly as good as going to Händel's Messiah (the oratorio) and leaving with that other Hallelujah chorus.

I saw it yesterday and it's anything, but certainly not upbeat
a very cool and, err ... dark movie. I'm afraid now I won't be able to watch the pre-"Bale-Batman movies /series" anymore.

I just finished watching Fall of Roman Empire. Big Grin its still an excellent movie. it is 2 disc set lots of extras. They built a very impressive set outside madrid what a place that would have been to go and have a gathering

I saw Tropic Thunder last night. Very silly, with some disgusting moments and an underlying mockery of Hollywood. I told a friend at work today: "Go see it, but don't take anybody with any taste. You can take your wife, though -- she married you."

PS: Shouldn't the title actually be, "Tropical Thunder?"
