Tekije buckle 1st century AD

Quote:Existing holes in the middle of the concentric elements indicate (no matter if they are cast or stamped) that the only option for mounting on a leather strap is with rivet or small nail (which is curved from behind)

My first belt apron has the discs wit hthe hole in the middle!
i was a bit concerned at first until evidence was shown to support this.

The human face model is from picture shown in the book .Completely creative model of my brother Jordan (Lucius Verecundus in the forum)
Length 5 cm .Most likely this is a depiction of Cupid. Made from a sheet of brass

My new pendants Tekije model. I try to be as close as possible to the original(at least from what I can see from the book picture). Walls and trim are double (like most the originals).
Rivets and "cups" I will mount it with leather assembling(after all the parts are silver plated).

! I made the buckle hang parts ( to rotate ) as the original thay are movable and all the cups rotate around on the plates. Pugio discs also rotate freely around its own axis and hang rotate also !

It is very beautiful, but I think it has too many plates. The original belt only had five.
