Hi
What would be a good source for accurate Hoplomachus equipment including helmet, greaves, shield, dagger, spear, etc. I would like, if possible, that old impossible of accurate and reasonably priced but will settle for accurate first and then reasonably priced.

I have full thracian armour and the ocrea is the same with the hoplomachus. Mine is about 2 kilogramms but this could be thinner and lighter. But I don't know exactly I never measured the weight.

To add to this topic, I have a question. What sort of shield was used by a hoplomachus? I've seen two kinds: larger hoplite or deep bowl style, and smaller forearm shield. Is the difference based on time period? For example, would an earlier hoplomachus have the larger hoplite shield and the later, more stylized gladiators, used the small (12-15") shield?

They used smaller shields than a hoplite warrior. That shield was too big to the arena so after reforms of Augustus they used shields about 50 centimeters. Sory for my bad english and I don't know how to tell it in inches
