Thanks guys! Flavius...blackening the steel on the helm was pretty easy and conforms to the Italic D found at Worms...I'd be happy to tell you how to do it - if interested.

Gallus Marinus Micarius's segmentata is hand hammered and you ought to see his"wageena"! Hand punched punched and tinned. He's earning that cognomen.. Now he has a bunch of the other guys spiffing up their gear!
