One U.S. supplier I have used: Renaissance Fabrics

Avete,
Does anyone have experience with wool flannel?
I would imagine suit type wool flannel would not
be as fuzzy as regular(lumberjack plaid) flannel.
I've seen some online that was very tempting
but I haven't seen any up close. Would this be
good for a tunic or worsted wool better?
Thanks

I used wool flannel that I purchased from M. J. Cahn for my toga. This is a very light weight wool fabric, not too "nappy" as Wilson puts it. It holds folds very well.

Andy, you could always contact the supplier and ask for a swatch to see what it's like. If they won't send you one, that's an up front statement of the type of customer service you can expect if you do order from there.

Thanks,guys,
The "nap" was exactly what I was referring to. Glad to hear it's o.k.
I found a worsted wool "linen stitch" fabric that I bought on Ebay.
Looks pretty good in pics and seemed like the best of both worlds,
wool that looks like linen.
