Jef,
You're probably right. I've had that nougat stuff but can't remember the name just now. Usually comes in a "care" package from Germany around Christmas.None this year, though. Nickolaus must've thought I was bad.(He obviously got me mixed up with someone else  )
Greetings from the XI in Ga.

Apologies again,Tarbicus.

Wow,everyone's getting new avatars.Nice,all.

Toblerone is totally different, being totally of chocolate, honey and nuts.

While the real italian classic torrone is just egg white + honey + nuts: it could be hard or soft, and covered of chocolate too.

There are the Pepitas and Zanzibar called torrone too, but it's all chocolate not the real torrone (very good anyway... Tongue )

Vale,

The pre-sliced is certainly more convenient, but it tends to dry out a bit faster than the block. I've also tried the Malt Loaf Bar as it's a lot more convenient to stuff in a rucsack, but they're a lot tougher than the loaf, and the 'squidge' is part of the loaf's charm.

Thanks, guys.for correcting me on this. Due to a combination of factors I've gotten the names mixed up. Torrone and Toblerone had gotten confused in my mind since I've not had either in a couple of years.
At least I didn't confuse Soreen.

Now that website has to be one to be savoured ;-) second only to Westons Cider, of course.

I still don't get where the Toblerone comes in...

Well,in an attempt to further explain my ignorance(or maybe just further display my ignorance) I got Torrone and Toblerone confused  . I haven't seen either in a few years and the names got terribly scrambled. I must admit I like the nougat better.
