Doctor Who goes Roman - but oh dear, the soldiers! - Carus Andiae - 09-25-2007

In this thread there were complaints about the Roman soldier in Torchwood and hopes were expressed that next time they might make a better job of it. Hate to disappoint, but have a look at the soldier in the background of this photo. Oh dear - not promising.

BBC article (with spoilers) here.

You got to hand it to them for working in Caecillius though-- the star of the much loved Cambridge Latin Course text books, complete with those unintentionally hilarious drawings and stories.

Hi David
As they have used the 'Rome' set they have probably just used the costumes from that series as well.

Dr Who's new sidekick would probably say,"....their armours not accurate, am I bovvered!"

Graham.
