Pratoriean guardsman? - Max_ - 05-18-2008

Does anyone know if the equiptmant used by the pratorian gaurd differed greatly from the army?
I know of the infamous mouse and bread helmet that was supposed to be pratorian, but are there any other distinctive traits?
thnx!
(I wanna be a gaurdsman for halloween, lol!)

How about using the search function? I am sure you will find a lot of info about this topic.

Max,

Considering it would cost you in the thousands to do a correct "guardsman" impression, I would suggest just getting a simple "Hollywood" style costume at any costume shop.....

And if you are interested in living history focus on 1st century gear and equipment (this impression appears to be most common and affordable in the mass made market)....
