Spectaculum Romanum at Rimburg - Marcus Mummius - 08-22-2008 Salvete, Last weekend a Roman event was held at Rimburg and Ubach-Palenberg. The weather was nice and over the weekend there were 20.000 visitors. A big succes. Legio XI CPF (Belgium) was one of the groups present. Alas several of our soldiers were ill. But even with the small turn out we had a lot of fun. Here are some pictures of my group taken last weekend: For the first time ever at a public event we were allowed to dig a ditch! It's a fairly small one (only about 1m deep), but still, we got to dig a ditch ! People absolutely loved the Roman tid bits they could taste. Most of the ceramics were made for us by RAT member Andreas Gobinus.
