Roman reenactment event in Blanes (Catalonia, Spain) - Yeyo - 09-08-2008
Hi to all!
This weekend (13th and 14th of September) is going to take place the first edition of a re-enactment event in Blanes (Catalonia, Spain). At the end, the roman groups involved are the Legio V and Legio I Germanica, with the collaboration Regnum Gothorum, some early 7th century visigothic guys doing strange things –combats and crafts- in their historical camp.
Moreover, there will be a munera, with the participation of Ludus Hispaniense and Acta-arqueo, a French gladiatorial group, a concert by Synaulia and some conferences of prestigious scholars, like Fernando Quesada.
Therefore, I think is a very interesting event for everybody interested in roman culture and ancient warfare.

Regnum Gothorum are the "Clan del Cuervo"?
I think they were also in this event, and I don´t know anyone else reenacting our Dark Age...
Good luck for all, perhaps the next year the Cohors Prima Gallica can be there also. :wink:

Well, Regnum Gothorum is a section of El Clan del Cuervo, focussed in the first half of the 7th century. It has a different name because recreates another period and, actually, not all the people of the Clan has the equipment or is interested in the Late Antiquity. Therefore -and this is something important for us- we don’t want confusions: we are not just the same people doing the same things with the same equipment. That’s the reason of using another name.

Everyone looks great - the gladiators, civilians, Romans, and Visigoths.
If I ever move to Spain I'd like to sign up with Regnum Gothorum
