Passum - Decimus A Varus - 01-03-2009 Does anyone know how I might get ahold of some passum (raisin wine)? i live in the states. Im not too keen on making my own, maybe if i had a bigger yard... Re: Passum - Thais - 01-12-2009 I don't think it's something you can get anywhere; I've used a heavy Sauternes as a substitute before now. I guess you could try various heavy sweet dessert wines and see what works - maybe a Spanish or Greek muscat, so long as it's thick, sweet, and kind of raisin-y flavored. Re: Passum - jkaler48 - 01-12-2009 It is made in Texas! http://www.brunoandgeorge.com/raisin_wine.htm Re: Passum - Thais - 01-12-2009 Marvelous! Now all I have to do is find a way to get some. I've got a local liquor store who keeps me in nice whiskey, though, so that shouldn't be too hard - thanks for the pointer! -Thais |
