Re: searching for signumplates - Matt Lukes - 05-20-2009

Thanks Alex- don't want to blow my own horn as it were LOL It's copied from the discs shown on Trajan's Colum- size and overall shape. It's just like what I've found is referred to as a POPANVM disc- supposedly a meaningful symbol, although I'm not sure just what it meant. So I don't call them 'phalarae' anymore but popanum discs Big Grin

And I did send you a PM Maarten, but it seems you haven't looked at it yet?

Re: searching for signumplates - M. Demetrius - 05-20-2009

How are these pompana attached to the staff? I see what appears to be a rivet head on the front center, but what's on the backs?

Re: searching for signumplates - maarten - 05-20-2009

Curiously I can read my PM's but I can not respond, sorry. Matt if you want to send me an email please go to the website of pax romana

Thanks in advance
