As to origin the bronze belt of the panoply almost certainly makes it South Italian, and judging roughly by the style of the Corinthian c.600-550 BC at a guess.....
After ages i found again the shield we were referring to. It's from the Guttmann collection. Croll down,you'll find it. However,the three photos i had posted were not all of the same shield. Only the top and bottom. Not the middle one.
