I am admittedly no pugio expert. But I admire the quantity and quality of metalwork that you've done. Good job, good job!

What did you use to inscribe the lines on the scabbard?

Re: my pugio of Risstissen - PhilusEstilius - 06-23-2009

Xavier. That is nice work however I would like to ask if you use an angle grinder to shape your blade, for this is how I do dagger blades and looking at the tang in the early stage that you show gives me the idea that you do so.
Would I be correct on this thought ?

Re: my pugio of Risstissen - Marcus Mummius - 06-23-2009

I think he means a disc grinder, or an angle grinder, like you said.
