Beaded chain necklace - Nathan Beal - 09-24-2009

Just thought i'd post something i almost finished up last week. Needs a hook & hoop adding (but i haven't got any Sterling to finish the job right now and Fine is too weak).

Fine Silver (99.9%) and Carnelian bead chain, based (loosely) on Roman examples (common examples are gold with various type of semi-precious and/or glass beads). Total length 45cm, each link a little under 2cm.

(as a clump)

It's not a strict reproduction of anything i have seen, all the examples i see are gold (but that was a bit pricey for a 'just because i can' project) and I'm not sure about the shape of bead (i can't get hold of decent sized cylinders, these ovoids are the best i could find). So what say you guys, plausable?

The matching earrings are not right, the ear-wires are modern, but i had a few beads left.
