Little Wing intro by Alexander of Macedon - Virilis - 04-24-2010

For some reason the intro of Little Wing reminds me of Alexander the great. I will try to learn to play this great song properly in the future (either a Hendrix or SRV version)...

Ahhh, but Alexander played a Telecaster. He got it from the Egyptians, who had already developed crude-but-functional Telecasters, hewn from marble.

While we're on the topic, I'll see your Little Wing and raise you an Alexander the Great, by Iron Maiden.

(Warning: this is a horrible, horrible song.)

Woulda been hilarious though if Oliver Stone used this for the Gaugamela scene in his movie.

Oh yes, "Eddie" could have been fighting there too  ...
