New Legionary Site - The Roman Recruit - Paul Elliott - 09-19-2010 Hi, Never sure where to put posts like this, figured Round Table is made for this one, though. I've a new website detailing the life of a legionary around 200 AD, the Roman Recruit, [url:2ruubkmn]http://www.romanrecruit.weebly.com[/url] It gives me a way to explain and justify the choices in my impression for this changeable period of Roman military history (200AD), and I'll be giving out the URL to school children when I take my kit in to a few schools in my area as a way to follow up on the presentation. Re: New Legionary Site - The Roman Recruit - Robert Vermaat - 09-20-2010 Great initiative Paul. Re: New Legionary Site - The Roman Recruit - Paul Elliott - 09-20-2010 Thanks! I must contact you as FECTIO regarding URLs, you have me on your links page with an old address. Re: New Legionary Site - The Roman Recruit - Robert Vermaat - 09-22-2010 That's your own fault. You should have asked for my permission to move your site. But.. the pages still work, so where's your new url? :?: Re: New Legionary Site - The Roman Recruit - Paul Elliott - 09-22-2010 Oh yes, totally my complete lack of memory  I'd totally forgotten that you had my site listed there. I've PM'd you with a new URL ... if you would be so kind (please?) Re: New Legionary Site - The Roman Recruit - alsinstructor - 12-12-2010 Just seen the Roman Recruit site. Excellent. I am across the Humber in Grimsby and I have to say that it is a very well laid out site, easy to navigate and full of information. Thanks for the effort, it is much appreciated by such as me who are new to this research. Well done. Re: New Legionary Site - The Roman Recruit - Paul Elliott - 12-13-2010 Thanks ... what's your period of choice? Re: New Legionary Site - The Roman Recruit - alsinstructor - 12-13-2010 Quote:Thanks ... what's your period of choice? Invasion of britain to about 250CE is my favourite time, rather a wide timeline but I am really keen on Hadrian's Wall era so your site is right up my street... well, across a river and a few miles  If you are doing a display sometime, in the vicinity, I would like to see it, if possible of course. Keep up good work. Re: New Legionary Site - The Roman Recruit - morhathol - 12-13-2010 Great site, Paul! A lot of useful information and pictures! Again I must fight the urge to start re-enacting |
