Indeed, very nice. I have some idea of how much work you must have put into it and I agree that your work is consistently very good. Did you make the ribbed parts by stamping them or compressing them in formers, or was it all hammer work?

thank you to everynbody especially to Brennivs that a lot of time helped me whit informations, photos etc about my reproductions.

Crispvs, you said good, the pompei scabbard is full of small pieces and ribbed parts that you can become grazy. In fact I was tinking how to do this parts and in the end I resolved like that:

a small bar of bronze very strong, after I did a small stamp female and male (sorry for my horrible english) and in the morse like a sandwich the female, the bar and after the male...compression and the ribbers come very good.

normally the people believe that pompei scabbard is a simple scabbard in front of mainz or fulham scabbards maeby because we mostly have in mind the commercial reproductions of the pompei scabbard. But a pompei scabbard that you do like have to be is 100 time more difficult for make than a mainz scabbard...and very very autentic final result.

You clearly came to the same conclusion I did when I made mine. Here is a piece I made, with the male and female formers I used behind it.

And here is a rather poor picture of all of my appliquee pieces. As you say, most commercially available scabbards omit these parts, although actual scabbards consistently exhibit them.
