Morning all,
I have a request for information, if you'll indulge me. Can anyone please point me at a good source of information with regard to German mercenaries/foederati operating during and after the Marcomannic wars. I'm interested in almost any aspect of such a unit - recruitment, equipment, organisation, motivation (that one's pretty easy, I guess) and so on.
I'm happy to buy books, so this doesn't just have to be 'go the following website' advice.
