Great article and pictures, I wish we had that type of history to dig up here in the U.S. Better yet I hope we do dig up something like that here in the States it would make for greatly interesting conversation and study.

That is amazing. I don't know my English geography, but since they mention River Nene, I suppose that canoe must have been used on a river and it wasn't ocean-going?

As its the fens its an area of river mouths and deep (ish) water between sand banks.
