Hello, I have a question that is to do with a pompeii style sword. On the hand guard of the handle, I believe someone told me there is not an example of one found. If so, is it suggested to recreate a Pompeii sword minus a brass guard plate? Or still have an inset guard plate...

No, there are a very few such plates. This was discussed here a while ago.
