Hello everyone, I'm doing a research paper over greek armor, the Corinthian style helms in particular. I was wanting to know, is there a specific name for that style helm or if anyone could refer me toward some good literature I could use for resources. Any help would be appreciated.<br>

It was my understanding that the Greeks actually called that syle "Corinthian"! (Imagine us using the correct term for once, eh?) Unfortunately, I have no idea what ancient source that might be from. Or even if it's correct...<br>

I'm not sure where else it crops up, especially as I haven't read all of Thucydides in the Greek, but I know at least of one mention in Herodotus, 4.180.3. It's a very strange little story, but that doesn't matter; the helmet is still called 'Corinthian'.<br>
