Different Spanish newspapers published last week that remains of around 20 segmentatas have been discovered during the archeological excavation previous to the beginning of a new building in Leon, the same where some years ago pieces of another segmentata were found. hock: Only legionary wearing the segmentata.. we're past that, aren't we? Plus, construction of this armour is attested, especially for this very region, into the 4th century. More expensive than other armour? That's unproven as far as I know..

Are we? I am not sure Mike Bishop for one is a fan of auxiliaries or centurions running around in seggies!
