Late roman tunic try - leonardo - 10-14-2014 Late roman tunics are sucha fascinating subject. But accurate decoration is always a problem. I tried embroidered panels and clavii using this one as an inspiration [attachment=10976]t10.jpg[/attachment] The handwork was made by Andy di Francesco, a local artisan who is working very efficiently. Execution is her responsability, the bold decisions are mine. She should be not to be blamed for them. The idea was to keep the general style of the original one but simplified. I hope it is not a caricature. The base tunic closely follows extant patterns and in itself is work of another artisan: Evangelina Ledesma. Andy made the embroidery in red , Green and yellow wool. Tunic is linen, This post is totally intended to read your critics.
