Early Roman horse tack: Met in New York - richsc - 12-15-2015     Saw this in a Spanish thread on FB. Didn't know it was in the Metropolitan Museum in New York, which I still have not visited. Seems to date from second C BC. The one horse has a saddle with no pommels, and I was wondering what is known about this little statue. The user on FB who posted this has posted some details of the lorica of one of the equites. Cool.
