Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Gaius Julius Caesar - 10-03-2008 Is this the same group as Munazio Planko belongs to? Looking excellent guys! Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - jvrjenivs - 10-03-2008 Quote:And by the way: Sexy Vexillarius (short skirt) Isn't that the way it should be? I mostly see re-enactors with long tunic, not to mention this one: Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Gaius Julius Caesar - 10-03-2008 Yes, too long. But if you show too much, you get chastized for it.....  Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Ilario - 10-06-2008 Hi, the "sexy vexillarius" it's me! Thank you, guys, we must to improve yet a lot of things and, by the way, Aureliane, if you take a look on the evidences for our period, will notice that tunics aren't that long. Optime valete, Ilario - Pvblivs Licinivs Rvfvs Legio X - Roma Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Ilario - 10-06-2008 Yes, Byron, Munatio - Pierpaolo is with us! Pierpaolo made all of our Gladii Hispanienses, I'll show you these beauties on the gladii thread into the reenactment & reconstruction section soon. Look back at the photo: Pierpaolo is the first in the left line; you can recognize his wonderful Delos sword. Maxime Valete, Ilario - Pvblivs Licinivs Rvfvs Legio X - Roma Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Tita Iuventia Martia - 10-07-2008 Avete! Here are some photos of me. You can see me as a centurio from the end of the first century AD. Standing in front of an inn: Here I'm commanding our auxiliary troops: Sad after a lost battle I have to say the event was a bit rainy, you can see that on our boots. 8) Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - LUCIUS ALFENUS AVITIANUS - 10-07-2008 Nice work! I specially like your shoes! Who make them? Laus for you! Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Tita Iuventia Martia - 10-08-2008 Quote:Nice work! I specially like your shoes! Who make them?Salve, My boots :?: :-) 4 000 CZK (It is guesstimate 220 USD). vale and regards from Prague :-) ) Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Narukami - 10-08-2008 Great photos Radka. Narukami Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Gaius Julius Caesar - 10-08-2008 Excellent pictures, and I second that about the boots. Nice stuff! Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Tita Iuventia Martia - 10-08-2008 Thank you all!! and best regards from quitesunny Prague :-) ) Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - jvrjenivs - 10-08-2008 2 questions Radka, why didn't you close your helmet. That would look much better. And why do you use a parma, and not a normal one, like your soldiers. Any (historical) reason for that? But in general I must admit it's a nice impression! Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Tita Iuventia Martia - 10-08-2008 AVE, About my helmet: It was really rainy day, so my face piece wadding was quite wet... I know that closed helmet looks better than opened, but it was really uncomfortable  I will correct myself :-) -) ) about my shield: Well, I know that we have no evidence that a centurion could have a parma shield. I have not seen it anywhere - I mean on reliefs, statues, tomb stones etc, but I had not my scutum ready yet :-( -) ) vale and best regards :-) ) Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Centurio - 10-09-2008 Salve! On this picture me as an auxiliary of cohors II Mattiacorum equitata |
