From where do you have your helmet? . Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Dain II. - 04-19-2009 Quote:Wow - that looked like a heavy march, especially over paved roads! How long did you need for those 13 km? With breakes it took 3 hours. Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - jvrjenivs - 04-19-2009 Quote:Quote:Wow - that looked like a heavy march, especially over paved roads! How long did you need for those 13 km? Yeah, we used the same time last summer for such an distance, about 4 to 4 km per hour. During the week we got faster. (also because the first days we used 3 breaks and the last day only had one (after 10 km). Mine have been made by our own smith, who is also the vexillarius of our unit. The helmet of our mail-clad centenarius was made by a local smith, Pierre Denos. Two deepeekas also... 1 made specialy by a local smith, Pierre Denos, two others especialy made by our smith, Patern aka "Tegvan map Penvaren" (I helped a little on Morcant's one). We try to motivate Deepeeka and GDFB for some new models but unsuccessfully so we had to work by ourselves. We are really interested in all informations about helmets at the turning of the roman period and the beginning of the Middle-Age Bye !
