Nice find Dan, nice find - I use tapestry material based on the tomb of the etruscan warrior for mine... - not strictly in date, but has the desired effect - Im working on some other techniques now I am free of the ravages of compulsory academia!

Cheers (Whoops - I meant to say the plural- Orbiculi, er, I think) working on the shoulder roundals soon, I was amazed at how much tapestry wool goes into such a small area!
Good luck with yours.

Just had to do a centurio impression by the presentation of a new road panel with Roman history of the region in Elst, yesterday. I'm still working on my phalerae set, so therefore I lack those and the paludamentum (as I couldn't attach that one).

Great Jurjen ,
I love the Squamata and it looks good even without the paludamentum and Phalarea .

Well Done ,

Julius .

Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Goffredo - 07-02-2009

great stuff!
Why in Jupiter's name (general criticism to all), after having made such a great effort to make such magnificient stuff, do you not make the tiny effort to get yourselves photographed without 20th century stuff behind you?

in my case just because that sign that was presented just is there, on the traffic cross of a cycling route in the area. I didn't dress up for those photographs, they were just shot when I was in kit and the photographer was so kind to send the pictures to me Big Grin

Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Folkert van Wijk - 07-02-2009
