Posting Pics - Doc - 04-23-2007

I have pictures of my ptergyes made of layered linen spaning a three row depth. Not to mention a one of a kind reconstuction of the Imperiall Gallic D helmet a friend of mine owns and wants to share his pics of.

I have the pictures on my computer but I do not know how to post them as a photo the way that it is done on the Roman impressions thread.

Any assistane on how to put a pic into a thread would be appreciated.

Thanks

Paolo

Here is a lightly armed legionary of emperor Julians army checking a strange germanic hut in a little island on the river Rhein. Alemanni are certainly on the move because our legionary found a red plastic can containing gasoline...

He looks good, that's for sure!
But he still hasn't got a helmet, and I'm told he is a 'member' short....
I can't see the shoes & socks real well. Jyrki?

That looks fantastic Yirki. I like the tunic! The cuffs look good. Were did you get it?

Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Virilis - 04-28-2007

Thanks, Jef! I designed the tunic and my mother made it (from linen). I added a little decoration with whitish thread on the patterns and it made the difference in my opinion  . I need a shield, A GREAT LOOKING SPATHA (because we late romas are vain and don`t consider the sword [gladius] simply as a tool anymore  ), and shoes!

Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Theodosius the Great - 04-29-2007

Virilis, I agree with Jef about the tunics, they look great. The sleeves taper down really well. I can't recall seeing three bands around the cuffs but I'm sure there probably is an example. I also have a cap that's the same color.

Thanks for posting the photos. I'm glad to see LR archers for the first time Big Grin

Btw, these tight sleeves are really essential when you are shooting with a bow!
