WOW!!!

All of this Late Roman stuff is AWESOME!!!

I just don't understand why it hasn't taken off here in the USA. It is so colorful and interesting.

I've been talking with another member on this forum about trying to start a Late Roman group. Maybe we can make a go of it.

Why laugh? You need a new avatar though.

Yes you are right, but I would prefer it to be in full kit, helmet and all!
Also still haven't got the hang of re-formatting pictures on photobucket!

Hi Damien,

Yes it was indeed time!! Big Grin You guys look absolutely wonderful! Laudes!!!

Just two questions:
1) Is that all of you? Vindex? What about Alexander? Spadinos? How many members do you have these days?
2) Talk to us about your shoulder armour?
3) When are you adjusting your avatar?

Download Irfanview photo program (free) from www DOT irfanview DOT com. It's a snap. You pick the resize dimensions, then Save As. Done. You can do other things, too.

Thanks Demetrius, will try that!

Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Paulus Claudius Damianus - 09-01-2007

Hello Valerius!

Yes, of course, Vindex and Spadinos are always herculiani members but don't change in the armatura. Alexander do this study'end in England. He come back in France in September He must finish his Lorica Squamata and the Balista. Marcellus work to his Thoracomachus. We want to take pictures of the news armatura version and take fisrt pictures with the recent members....

Thank to your words!

Superb impressions! Big Grin Arbatio and Sylvanus look very detailed and Anthemius looks suitably outstanding. What forms are we looking at, embroidered?

My pleasure.

So, what about that shoulder armour?

Confusedhock: Confusedhock: Confusedhock: Yowza! That's one FINE looking hauberk! I like how he used a classical curve for the bottom instead of a straight line. I'd like to do the same with the smaller Deepeeka scales I have. His suit looks fairly rigid...is it just sewn onto linen? Leather? Maybe his scales are just wired together very tightly.

Laudes!

I'd love to see some closer pictures of all your shoes. Aren't they a bit early for you guys?

My Comillitones seg is brand new, he just received it that weekend. Courtesy of Len Morgan! Excellent craftsmanship. I know because I spent a fair portion of the weekend marching behind it!
