Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Quintus Julius Furius - 10-11-2007 © Pixures - Jacques Maréchal http://www.webieval.com/ Merci Jacques ! Legio XF Centurion - John M McDermott - 10-15-2007 Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Comerus Gallus - 10-20-2007 Funny picture John  BTW: this is Damianus with my ex-girlfriend on his head Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Virilis - 11-04-2007 Here is my latest impression. Now I have shoes, cloak, new hat (lamb-skin) and a Lituus  ... Unfortunately my Fibula slipped from my left shoulder to the middle.... Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Gaius Julius Caesar - 11-04-2007 Great late tunic Jerki! Nice kit overall too! Wish I was improving mine....plenty helmets<<progress/improvment  Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Virilis - 11-04-2007 Thanks Byron ! I still need a shield, a spatha & greaves... Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Gaius Julius Caesar - 11-04-2007 Which era greaves, have you seen the new ones Peronis is offering from Daniyell? Brass and iron! A must have buddy! I deff want them for a 180ad impression...and they are good for later! Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Virilis - 11-04-2007 Yes Byron, I am well aware of the greaves Peronis is offering  ! I have also a Deepeeka Niederbieber helmet which will make my impression a more late third centurish... Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Tarbicus - 11-04-2007 Quote:I still need a shield,...Would one of these do it? http://armillum.com/tienda/index.php?ma ... cts_id=242 http://armillum.com/tienda/index.php?ma ... cts_id=241 Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Gaius Julius Caesar - 11-04-2007 Are they not just a little on the small side Jim? I thought i saw a picture of a group, with one of these dished ones, it looked smaller than the other scuta. Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Tarbicus - 11-04-2007 I've no idea, Byron, but Jorge can be contacted by email. What I like is they seem to be made of planked construction. Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Gaius Julius Caesar - 11-04-2007 Yes, that is what my Republican scutum is constructed like. The edging could be a little more solid, and the boss...but anyway, yes they are made in the strip layered fashion! Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Robert Vermaat - 11-04-2007 Quote:Here is my latest impression. Now I have shoes, cloak, new hat (lamb-skin) and a Lituus  ....And a helmet! Looking great Jyrki!! When are you visiting us? Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Robert Vermaat - 11-04-2007 Quote:Thanks Byron ! I still need a shield, a spatha & greaves...Greaves are easy, shields are also in good supply. There Armilium, as Jim pointed out, and Fabrica Augustana. I would think very very long before buying a spatha. I bought mine way to soon.
