Covering rivet bottoms on inside of Scutum. - 66kbm - 05-27-2016

    Hi all,
After some advice before I leap into the unknown please.
I intend to cover all rivet bottoms with either paper masking tape or cut pieces of Linen to tidy up the inside of the Scutum
I am looking for advice as to what is best, and if linen, the best glue to use. The paint is Coo-var red oxide metal primer.
We use many rivets in our groups Scututa....see pic.
 Any advice is greatly appreciated.
 Kevin

Kevin use linen  and I would use copydex but since you have painted it not sure if it would stick, have you covered the shield  with any material before panting? Otherwise it looks great Smile

Standard DSC Scutum, Cearleon type, with only the pre said paint upon it
I would prefer a thick Linen over the "butts" so to speak, as I know paper at some time will break.
Still need the best glue to use please.

Not my Scuta, but member of groups. Shown for example of rivets used.

Well go with a epoxy resin key the area around rivet put a bit on linen and area around rivet  once dry a quick key over linen then paint. Use maybe surgical gloves to help push the linen down onto the shield. Smile
