spanish caetra - Anonymous - 07-09-2002 Salve,

Anyone have any information regarding the Spanish caetra (buckler)? the only source I have that really shows one in detail is the Osprey dealing with the Spanish enemies of Rome. Most of the other sources I have (Connolly et al) give it very little mention. I am mostly interested in knowing whether or not it was constructed of a single piece of wood or planks. Also whether or not the handle was solid or hollow, judging from my sources this is hard to determine.
thanks,

|
