Celtic shield found - Dave G - 05-24-2019 https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-leicestershire-48377927 Anyone seen this? Although not specifically roman I think it's a general interest find that will inform other areas. It's method and materials in construction are really interesting, and that it has no metal used on it. It's described as the same shape as the battersea shield which may shed some new light on that object too as a metal version of an existing common shaped thing.
