Pseudo Seneca bust the image of Marcus Brutus? - Julian de Vries - 10-12-2020 Could the so called Pseudo-Seneca bust actually represent Marcus Brutus? Compare the bust with a rare gold coin called the EID MAR. Pseudo Seneca: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pseudo-Seneca Marcus Brutus: https://eu.heraldtribune.com/story/business/2020/10/11/numismatic-guaranty-corp-authenticates-coin-minted-caesars-assassin/5927511002/ Look at the hair, and also the cheekbones, and the beard. The mustache seen on the bust is also prominent on the gold coin. I think in my opinion this is a reasonable attribution, anyone agrees or disagrees? |
