Want to see some more originals? I guess the best way to find out what Roman pottery looked like is to look at it! There is a new yahoogroup that has some photos posted of various Roman Ceramic work. This includes Pottery, Tiles, and pottery forms (for making decorated dishes and lamps). There are photos taken in museums through Europe available in a high-resolution format.<br>

Julia's Roman pottery ware is superb! I also do business with her, and I will not go elsewhere to find Roman pottery! (Plus she's one of the nicest people you could ever wish to know, which is a HUGE help these days!)
Improved Version-Marsh\'s Pitcher - Iulia Cassia Vegetia - 04-27-2005
I've improved my skills in 6 months, and thought I'd post Marsh's new piece. It is still "green" here, but will look very much the same once fired. Although it's not perfect, it looks much more like the original in proportion. Richard Campbell has the prototype, shown above. Heck, if I ever get famous (once I'm dead of course) :lol: Rich's may be worth a lot of $$. :wink:

It has always seemed a bit unfair to me that so often by the time one is famous one is either dead or nearly so.

I guess I could always fake my death, change my identity, and reap the royalties somehow :lol: 8) With all the support that I am getting through reenacting and lists like this one, I can see it happening.
SO BUY my work NOW BEFORE I get famous... :lol:
