Wear of Saegun and Fibulae - arklore70 - 10-27-2005

Can anyone be of assistance and show exactly how the fibulae is pinned to the cloak. I have not seen any close up pictures as to exactly how this was done.

thanks,

Mike

Robert,
The knicky-picky section here...
Your cruciform brooch should be worn in vertical position and with the brooch's foot neatly protruding over your shoulder.
Tsk, tsk, typical late Roman lack of discipline...

Sorry,
All my CDs with pics are now stored somewhere in boxes while my workshop is transformed into a bedrrom for my daughters! I haven't got any decent pic in my harddisk to post it! Sad

I won't recoomend the 'Flying Aitor' picture..

So I just mailed you the best one I have from you.

But.. I have more, including some ones where you wear it as 'bad' as mine (I even found your comment onRAT when I first posted that picture, two years ago!)...

Oh, thanks, Robert! Big Grin
It is hard to keep yourself properly dressed while you're having some action, even if it is only conducing a Roman festival!

But I am afraid that Mike is not exactly searching for Late Roman mantles and brooches... :?

Well, he should be more clear, then, asking for the fibula and the cloack... Big Grin
