At that time many nolithic settlement were destroyed.
Popolulation increase and struggle for resources. (Sound very modern)
Before the "food-revolution" i.e. cultivating beans, peas or lentiles except cerials in order to have more than 2 crops a year the land was exausted and people thought it easier to go "tourism" and pay the "neighbors a visit". 8)
The clay ball mentioned were the "frag-granades" of the time.
I think in the "slinging threads" I have mention theit type of operation
